What is the great human longing? What is it that we truly seek?

I am not sure questions like these have any final answers. Yet one thing seems certain: there is something within us that keeps urging us forward.

We want to discover more. We want to understand. We want to see what lies beyond the next horizon.

At times the striving exhausts us. Life asks much from all of us. Still, something keeps calling us onward.

We may never fully understand why. Yet we are alive, and perhaps the journey itself is worth the effort — whatever awaits us up around the bend.
