According to an old Vedic saying, we cannot bring worldly conditions into the realm of the unconditional, but we can bring the unconditional into the world of conditions.

I recently came across this thought and found it rather intriguing.

Perhaps it means that unconditional love cannot simply be turned into something conditional without losing its very nature.

Instead, we can allow unconditional kindness, forgiveness, acceptance, and love to find expression in our ordinary, imperfect lives.

Whether the old saying is ultimately true, I do not know.

But I like the thought that we may all be able to bring a little more of the unconditional into the way we live.
