The title "The Buddha" literally means "the awakened one." Awakened from what, we may ask? Awakened from human bondage. The Buddha's vision revealed the very fabric of being human—indeed, the very fabric of existence itself. This was 2,500 years ago, yet it remains just as relevant today in an increasingly complex world where we continue to repeat the same mistakes all over again, keeping ourselves in human bondage.
