Yesterday I likened reality to a coin, not in the meaning of monetary value, but in the meaning of one single whole having two opposing sides. And I said that one of the sides was changing whilst the other was unchanging.

Now, why is that good to know?

First we must remember that we are discussing the nature of reality. We are not discussing philosophy, psychology, or spirituality. We are not discussing society, relationships, or the future of mankind. We are not discussing black holes, the speed of light, or the expanding universe.

We are talking about the two core principles that makes up reality.

One of these is represented by the infinite factor, a factor we know beyond doubt to be unchanging.

The other is represented by us ourselves and every other changing piece of information.

Thus we have three things that we know for sure:

1.     The whole is one.

2.     The infinite factor is unchanging.

3.     The chain of causation, of which we are part, constantly changes.

Such are the ground-conditions, the basic nature of reality, the core essence of beingness. It is not dreamt up; it is a logical conclusion. And yet it is strange, and I agree to that, we end up with one whole that is both eternally unchanging and eternally changing.
