Today, on the International Yoga Day actually, we are travelling to Oslo to meet Ravi Shankar.
To me, he is a guru in the true sense of the word.
Obviously, he knows and understands more than I do, but what is more, he shares his insight with humility, warmth, and generosity — never with arrogance or a sense of being above others.
He speaks about the world and about the human condition because we turn to him. He does not seem to need anything for himself really; he simply keeps giving — tirelessly and lovingly.
That is a rare quality, and I very much look forward being in his presence.
