You might have heard about a notion called oneness. It is often used in religious contexts, but it’s found in common language too. It may say that God is one—that the all is one—or simply pointing out that we belong together. We are one—we belong together. And oneness has a natural appeal; it is something we inherently long for. But it is also a mysterious concept that we cannot fully grasp.

And at the same time it is both undeniable and logically detectable.

All we need to do is to put the infinite factor—the notion of infinity—into the equation.

Infinity is one—there cannot be two infinities—they would not fit alongside one another—there is simply no room for that.

Mathematicians and physicists talks of many different infinities, and why not, the term can be used for different purposes. But in its proper literal sense infinity is only one. One all-pervading, all-encompassing, beingness.

It is pretty straight-forward actually and there is really nothing mysterious about it. The infinite whole is one, and in that sense we are all in the right place.
