The painting by Carl Ferdinand Sohn (1805-1867) pictures "God the Father Creating the World". This is how the world came to be according to the Bible and other monothestic belief-systems. In six days he did it all, he found it good, and on the seventh day he rested. To take a rest, to stop and reflect over one's deeds and doings surely seems as good advice. I cannot allow myself such luxury though, not on this the seventh day of this new year. Not that I do anything in comparison to a Creating God Father, but I do have a blog commitment that is calling me onwards, and now I hear my grandchildren coming in the stairs.
