What if there were mountains but no valleys, what if 2 plus 2 didn’t equal 4.

What if I didn´t long for hours, what if I was absolutely sure.

I borrowed the first line from Descartes, the rest I added for amusement.

Descartes gave us the phrase "I think, thus I am". The thought was an end-result in an experiment where he tried to doubt everything into oblivion. He found that he could almost, but not entirely, he could not doubt that he was thinking about it. And thus he was sure about one thing at least, namely that there was a thinking mind. It may seem ridiculous, but it is not. There is doubt about the meaning of this world, but we are here, and thus it has meaning. The journey is real, no doubt about that. Does it have a goal? Well, that is the trick question I seek to answer.
