In Jim Jarmusch's film Coffee and Cigarettes, Iggy Pop and Tom Waits meet in a coffee shop.

There is a packet of cigarettes on the table, but they have both quit smoking. They even agree that smoking is for losers.

After a while, Iggy comes up with a rather ingenious piece of reasoning: now that he has quit, he can have one.

Tom gives this some thought.

Yes. Since he has quit too, why not?

And so they both light up.

I don't know why I laughed my head off.

It was just hilarious.
