The GEO-7 report says that by the year 2050 mankind will draw 165 billion tons of raw material from the earth annually. That is a 60 % increase from 2020. In many respects, that is a pretty grim scenario

We use a lot of stuff. Why? Well, that is an interesting question. What do we want to achieve, what are after? And does it make us happier?

(GEO, Global Environment Outlook, is a group of 300 scientists who created this model of what the world will look like in 2050, granted that the worlds’ nations continues to pollute, pump out gases, and destroy natural spaces as we do today.)

They add that it can still be halted granted a whole-of-nations, whole-of-society, effort. Are we willing to do that? We must ask ourselves.
