Esoteric moments

I am an early riser, and the earliest morning hour is special to me. Still half asleep in my bed my mind effortlessly drifts into esoteric and farfetched ideas, in the moment appearing as absolutely clear and obvious. Well, okay, sometimes my mind is troubled, and I get stuck on memories I rather had forgotten. But sometimes I have clear visions of how the world works on a fundamental level. This morning for instance I dwelled upon the concept of oneness. In the moment it was all clear and logical and I said to myself, “This I put in today’s blog”. But it’s funny how even the simplest of ideas gets corrupted when facing the mundane obligations of life, and it is funny how difficult it is to describe even the most obvious and simplest of ideas. By the time I got to my laptop, the clarity had vanished and I could not find the preciseness that I had experienced just one hour hence. Luckily, I’d jotted down notes before I even rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, so the visions were not entirely lost, but I realized that these notes, however clear to me, sounded like gibberish at face value. The concept of oneness is so simple, yet so hard to describe. I give it another go tomorrow, I promise you that.
