Artificial Superintelligence

The purpose of life

In my book "The Infinity Principle" from 2024, I posed the question: "If robots can achieve our wildest dreams more effectively than ourselves, - what do we need ourselves for?"

The question may sound crazy, but it was actually seriously meant.

AI prompts us to question the purpose of life.

Who are we?

What do we want to achieve?

If AI can inhabit our whole universe, would that be a success?

If we could inhabit the whole of the universe, would that be a success?

There is something about ourselves to be understood here.

Personally, I don't fear AI, not in an existential sense. It may cause the end of the human civilazation, but it will not stop time, - and it cannot conquer our souls.
