Do we have an inner voice?
A quiet voice we intuitively sense we can trust, yet often struggle to recognize.
Perhaps the difficulty is not that it misleads us.
Perhaps the difficulty is that we so easily convince ourselves we know better.
The voice is subtle. It rarely shouts. It is easily drowned out by fear, desire, habit, or the opinions of others.
Can we hear it?
And if we do, can we trust it?
Who can tell us?
The word conscience has long been associated with an inner knowing—a quiet awareness that seems to guide us, even if we cannot always explain where it comes from.
Learning to recognize that voice may be one of life's deepest inquiries.
